Where can we help your kids!

Former schoolteacher and local Aussie Mum Ms. Sara Wunderwald explains how tutoring provides valuable assistance and guidance to students of all levels.

“It is a method of delivering systematic, structured learning experiences tailored to a student’s individual needs.

There are numerous benefits to engaging in tutoring services and many reasons why parents choose it for their child,” said Sara, owner of Successful Learners Tutoring in Kensington.

What are the Benefits of Tutoring?

Help is there for an Individual, we judge and then add a unique learning experience to meet the student’s needs.

One-on-one attention, we build students’ confidence.

Improves academic performance, we help to reach goals.

Improved attitude towards learning and the school environment, we observe closely the student’s improvement.

Encourages self-paced and self-directed learning, we don’t solve the problem but show students how to solve it.

Improves self-esteem and confidence, we add the ability for students to aim and reach their self-predicted scores.

Improves work and study habits, we help to develop critical thinking abilities while the students are still in their early learning stages.

We are providing tutoring in the following domains:

NAPLAN Tutoring: NAPLAN is the measure through which governments, education authorities, schools, teachers and parents can determine whether or not young Australians have the literacy and numeracy skills that provide the critical foundation for other learning and for their productive and rewarding participation in the community.

Aussie Tutor believes that there are no alternatives other than increasing a student’s confidence level from the beginning. So, our tutors who have received high scores in NAPLAN Tests are involved and willing to assist the kids to also achieve high scores!

Selective and Private School Admission with Scholarship: School leaders and leadership teams have played a vital role in shaping the culture of a school and ensuring that effective policies, procedures, strategies and also, they build a standard of teaching over the decades.  Research suggests that the use of evidence-based bullying prevention programs reduces experiences of all forms of bullying perpetration (cyber, traditional, and relational aggression) and schools that address family conflict and provide student academic support also report reduced incidents of bullying. So, a school always plays a significant role to build an acceptable student personality in their learning curve.

In the State of Victoria, Australia we have a total of 1,543 schools. Out of these only four schools are selective schools.

Aussie Tutors are helping kids to receive admission in selective schools across Victoria.

scholarship may also lift the burden off parents and allow the students to attend prestigious Private schools.  Thus, keeping the students engaged with their studies rather than with their school fees.

If your child has been offered a scholarship that covers a proportion of the tuition fees, it’s important to weigh up the total costs and you may consider to spend your money to buy other quality supporting study materials for example hiring a tutor for your kids to meet his/her goals.

Academic scholarships — the largest and richest single category — are usually awarded on the basis of a test of academic potential and may require an interview or evidence of special attributes such as leadership qualities. The tests are used to determine whether your child is a suitable candidate for a scholarship and aim to assess their level of general understanding of a particular field. They do not require the child to have studied a particular curriculum. It is advisable to consider getting a few hours of coaching from someone who is familiar with these tests.

A few independent schools use tests set by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). ACER Scholarships Tests are used by independent schools to determine a student’s academic ability to select students for the award of a scholarship. At secondary level, these tests are broken into written expression, humanities (comprehension and interpretation) and mathematics components. There are two types of test available: Cooperative Program Tests and Alternate Date Tests.

Many private schools in Victoria are offering scholarships to kids to enrol in their school. The tuition fees at private schools are sometimes unbearable for many families. However, income should not be an issue if kids want to study in their preferred school. So, we have tutors who have already received scholarships and also graduated recently very high ATARS. Our Tutors are keen to help your kids to follow the same path.
